Stan Bumgarner grew up north of Taylorsville near Sugar Loaf Mountain. As a kid, he taught himself to play guitar and later helped form a rock band, Harry Deal and the Galaxies. He later studied classical guitar with the teacher at the North Carolina School of the Arts and spent 17 years traveling and performing as a professional classical guitarist.
Wanting to spend more time with his family, he made a career change. He started as an investment broker at J.C. Bradford, which was bought by PaineWebber, in turn bought by UBS Financial Services. When UBS closed its Hickory office, Stan joined ING Financial Partners, Inc. Many people remember his entertaining Money Talk segments on Hickory's Charter Cable TV.
Client-centered and risk-averse, Stan's goal is to shepherd his clients through both good times and bad, always with the client's well-being and financial stability at the forefront. Series 7, 63 and 65 registered, he brings to the table an unwavering commitment to do what is beneficial for them.
Happily married, with two children and two grandchildren, Stan knows the importance of family both to himself and to those he serves.
